There are many choices of engine in the Citroen DS4 but out of them we think that the 179 horse-power petrol and the 161bhp diesel come out ahead. The former offers the pace of a hot hatch and the latter is no snail.
Both our choices are not the cheapest to purchase and out of the two the diesel is the more economical for fuel.
Other worthy considerations include the 1.6 petrol engine offering 118bhp, the petrol turbocharged 154bhp and the 1.6 litre 108bhp turbodiesel. All are superb choices so it is going to be difficult to choose from them.
There are three trim levels, but our choice is the DSign entry level. We chose the DSign as it offers plenty of features and equipment, including cruise control, remote locking, powered windows, air-con, fog lamps and LED running lights. All in all this is quite possibly everything that you are going to need.
If you do want a few more luxuries you may want to look at the DStyle range as the trim adds-in climate control, parking sensors, Bluetooth and automatic lights along with wipers. Go up another trim and the DSport adds-in leather seating.
