There is an engine to suit everyone with the Fiat Panda but our choice is the 1.2 petrol. It suits the Panda down to the ground and it’s nippy around town.
The 1.3 diesel engine may offer performance that is better and its more economical with the fuel, however, the price tag is more expensive than the 1.2 petrol. The same applies to the Twinair petrol engine, which lacks refinement. Fiat often host special offers so these are worth checking out and of course it never hurts to do a bit of haggling at the dealership to get an even better deal on the Fiat Panda.
If you like to be a little daring and go off the beaten path occasionally you may be interested in the Cross, Trekking and 4x4 versions, as they really do offer off-road ability that is genuine. In this case we recommend the Cross.
Bear in mind that they are more expensive and thanks to them being modified for off-road they are not as good for fuel economy.
