The Mini Countryman is offered with numerous choices, different engine sizes, an enormous range of options and plenty of accessories.
First thing to choose is which of the engines to go for, there is the One, offering 97 horses, Cooper with 120bhp and the Cooper S with turbocharged engine offering up 181 horse power. These all being petrol engines. Then there is the diesel range, the One D which offers 89 horses, the Cooper D and its 110bhp, the SD offering 141bhp and finally the top end, the JCW hot hatch with its 215bhp engine.
In our opinion it is the diesel engines that come out ahead and we chose the entry level version.
The level of equipment you get in the Mini Countryman is determined to some extent by the engine choice. However, there is plenty of kit on all versions, including roof rails, DAB radio, and Bluetooth support, parking sensors at the rear, air-conditioning and USB support. The range of options will have your head spinning. We recommend also that you take the TLC package for servicing your car, for a one-off cost you get the first few services, saving you money.
