Want an electric vehicle with the backing of the Renault branding? Look no further as Renault has introduced a first, the all-electric saloon, with the name of the Renault Fluence. The vehicle comes with a lot of the tech that the Nissan Leaf has, due to the fact that Nissan is the sister company.
There are some differences between the two, one is that it has less power, but this means it offers a range that is a bit better. Perhaps more important is that the purchase is made in a different way.
When buying the Leaf you get everything needed included in the price tag and this includes the battery to run it. With the Renault Fluence the battery pack is only leased. Renault said that this helps with the resale value of the vehicle as it does away with worries about the condition of the battery.
How much the battery lease costs is going to depend on the contract length along with the amount of miles you drive in a year. It also means that there are higher running costs with the Renault Fluence than with the Leaf, but this has to be weighed up against the price tag being lower.
If you are looking to purchase a Fluence, then at MLD we offer a range of attractive car finance solutions, including Car Loan, hire purchase and personal contract purchase deals.
