There are two choices of engine on the Subaru Xv, the 2.0 litre petrol offering 148 horses, and the 2.0 diesel giving out 145 horses.
In our opinion it is the diesel engine that comes out ahead for offering performance that is effortless and brisk. The petrol engine is ok; however, it cannot match the diesel, as you do have to work it a lot harder to get anywhere.
Whichever engine you choose to go with you are going to have four-wheel drive, this is superb for traction on the road in all weather, however, it is let down by its CO2 emissions. The diesel engine is the one to go for if you are going for the Subaru Xv, other vehicles in the same price range include the Nissan Qashqai 1.6, which offers better CO2.
The Subaru Xv has equipment such as heated rear window, electric windows, privacy glass in the back, ESP, hill hold control and sporty suspension.
